Summary of Project Build

This project was located at 22711 Westminster Hwy, Richmond, BC and is known as “Treviso”. The Project was 11 wood framed townhouse units in 2 buildings (13,604 SF). This project will be completed under a Construction Management agreement. The project was a very modern and clean design – “luxury townhomes”, using high-end cladding materials (metal panel, hardi panel, brick) and interior finishes (high-end glossy cabinets, countertops and flooring).

Challenges that the Project Faced

  • The Project site was pre-loaded and removed incorrectly and there were challenges with the stability of neighboring locations. A new action plan and project delivery was required to get all parties back to the table to move the project forward.
  • Quantus was engaged and was able to get the consulting team back on board, and mitigated any financial loss to the Developer from project delay and damages to adjacent properties.
  • The biggest challenge and success was that Quantus was able to achieve the Building Permit 1 day before Development Permit expired (it was applied for years before the Developer did anything on site). Through this quick movement, Quantus was able to save the Developer years of time and related costs.
  • Quantus was able to organize and coordinate the trades on-site to move towards an aggressive timeline to achieve project targets.
